Thing 23

The example I found of Thing 23 that was based on somebody else's work was really at the bottom of the page of thing 23 that stated property of creative commons and had that little CC stamp on it. Another thing that didn'y make me do any looking around was remembering 23 things is based on 43 things a larger more broad thing entirely. However Mrs. Wall got special permission to base it off 43 things and I greatful she did because if not I couldn't experience this wonderful thing called 23 things! As for creative commons this lesson was very useful Ill be sure to respect the rules in the future and be honest and give credit where credit is due THANK YOU 23 THINGS IT'S BEEN FUN!

Thing 22

Livebinders would be a useful tool not only for storing your own personal information but also classroom management. You could have a binder for every personal student for every individual student. Learning about the livebinders was very effective and easy and I could see myself using in the classroom one day.

Thing 21

Try our slideshow maker at Animoto.

I created a slide show of by dog because it was the easiest and had the funniest and most pictures using Animato was fun and easy. It could also be used in the classroom for a quick slide show presentation or the students to use their own in any classroom and any subject area horray!

Thing 20

There's not one thing I don't like about You tube. You tube can help pass the time for me in class, library or whatever. You have access to any video you can think of I mainly listen to music with You tube but, it can serve as an educational site in the classroom. I have had several professors and teachers use You tube to show material on the topic we were discussing. At the same you have to know when to draw the line from it becoming a distraction. Another big part of Youtube like Google it very easy to use just type in the search bar. Ill admit I'm using You tube while I type this post it becomes that common for me to use.
I used Youtube to show this Warner brothers cartoon of a teacher

Thing 19

I am now a member of Teacher Pop and Ning both are pretty neat websites to go through and explore. They are both useful because they allow you to communicate from one professional to another on any topic. The best way to explain it would be a more handsome and proper Facebook or Twitter more down to business less playing. Both where appealing to me because it gives me something to look forward to as I grow older and become more professional. I will probably use these down the road but, computers aren't really my cup of tea and neither is social net working period.

Thing 18

Well ive had a Facebook for forever and I don't know to many people who haven't had or have one. Twitter on the hand I don't have really because I just don't see the point. You here celebrities and professional athletes get into trouble all the time with Twitter for saying improper things about other people or themselves, and the media eat it up. Facebook is great because it allows you to keep up with everybody like old buddies, teachers, and events. Facebook like twitter can cause drama issues but, for the most part it's pretty safe and fun. I really can't see Facebook or Twitter being used in the classroom just because of the distraction it could cause. Finally though I would say im a fan of both.

Thing 17

Delicious is a nice social book marking tool that can be used in the classroom. The only problem is that its not as simple and quick as Google. Maybe I'm batiste towards Google but, I don't care Google is allot easier  than Delicious. I'm not saying I don't think Delicious can work because I think it can in the classroom. The only problem is students won't take the time like I have to explore and use it. Again Delicious is useful it just takes more thinking, time, and research to you. As for Dig and Stumble upon there allot like Delicious but, to me a little more confusing. I would never see myself using this in the classroom because I don't think I would be able to get Delicious across to the students especially in younger grade levels.

I typed in educational technologies and got mixed results however my experience with Delicious, Dig, and Stumble Upon were good but confusing. I just don't think many people will take the time to look into these. There is a bright future in social book marking for educators I truly believe that!
